Mickey Udal is a professional photographer, an artist, sailor and craftsman. After earning a degree in outdoor recreation and environmental education from Capilano College, he moved to the Gulf Islands.
He built a home on Gabriola by dismantling an old log building from the interior of BC. In 1984, Mickey made his living on the island, logging with a draft horse named Dakota. This lifestyle and interest in photography led him to develop a distinctive style. His stunning and reflective compositions focus on the natural spirit and beauty of our landscape.
His work is now being sold throughout Canada and the Western United States, and is on display at several locations on Gabriola, and in his studio/gallery.
